Tēnā koutou i tēnei ata.
As we march steadily closer to Te Hotoke winter, the team here at Life Matters | Te Whare Oranga Ngākau are staying busier than ever with lots of exciting events and meetings. In this newsletter, we will be sharing with you all some updates about community meetings and fundraisers as well as the Coroners Amendment Bill which passed its third reading in Parliament and has now become law.
This month, we would also like to do an extra big shout-out to Megan and the team at Project Hope & Beyond, who have raised a grand total of $16,828 for Life Matters on Saturday mornings at the Cadbury’s carpark. He rā whatiwhati kō – A day of hard work – is indeed applicable here. A huge thank you to Project Hope & Beyond for their ongoing support that helps us provide our services to tangata whaiora in Ōtepoti and beyond.
Also coming up in May is our annual Street Appeal – read on for more information about how to get involved.
